We try to include as much relevant information as we possibly can on a product by product basis to help you make an informed decision when making a purchase. Should you wish to return any product, our service enables you to do this up to 14 days from the date of invoice. Before making a return you will need to contact us firstname.lastname@example.org or 01277 355222. You will be required to quote your original invoice number along with the reason for the return, once we have these details we will take contact details from you which will enable us to send you a returns form. You will be required to fill out the form giving as much information as possible. This form will need to be enclosed with the goods; we suggest you keep a copy for yourself too in case the original is damaged in transit back to us. The return will be your responsibility to organise and track using a reputable courier service.
We ask that you do everything possible to ensure the goods are returned to us in good condition and if possible with their original packaging. If goods are sent without a completed returns form it will halt the process. We will be forced to put aside the return in question until we have received the completed form and have your instructions on how you wish us to handle the returned item(s).
We will not accept a return without one of our completed returns forms.
Independent Tool Company
We will refund the total cost of the goods minus our courier costs if applicable. We can arrange a collection of the goods in question, this would be chargeable. We will arrange the collection through a number of methods which will be decided upon at our discretion. We aim to deal with returns as quickly as possible and resolve any issues you may have, but during busy periods this process can take slightly longer. It can take up to 30 days to process your return, replacement or refund, we will try to deal with every issue on an individual basis as quickly as possible.
Should your purchase have been supplied direct from one of our suppliers the terms and conditions of the supplier will apply. See our suppliers own websites for details.
PLEASE NOTE: Returns after 14 days may be accepted but we will charge a re-stocking fee of 20%.
Faulty, Incorrectly Supplied or Damaged Items
If we have supplied an item incorrectly, or if it is damaged when or is faulty when received you should notify us in writing within 24 hours of receipt on email@example.com or 01277 355222 quoting your original invoice number and the issue you have. We will supply you with a returns form which must be filled in and enclosed with the returned goods.
If after inspection of the item(s) in question we are satisfied as to the alleged defects/complaints we will either replace the goods or arrange a refund of the full value of the goods and any reasonable carriage costs incurred.
We strongly suggest you as the recipient of the goods check them and their outer packaging thoroughly. If you can see any damage to the packaging you must sign for the goods as “damaged”. If this is not possible please ensure you sign for the goods “unexamined” to allow us to take any claims up with our courier companies. If the package is not signed for under these terms and it is indeed damaged the claim process can become very difficult and drawn out with the courier.
PLEASE NOTE: If a fault develops with your item and you as the user believe it may be covered under warranty the tool can be sent back to us for inspection, if necessary we will forward the tool on to the manufacturer’s warranty department for their analysis. If the item is found to be faulty and covered under warranty any carriage costs you have incurred will be reimbursed. If the fault is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty any repairs carried out will be chargeable and your carriage costs will not be refunded (you will be sent an estimate for repair first).
